ABACUS AUSTRALIA is a “not for profit” organization that facilitates Professional Indemnity Insurance for Accountants, and is run by practicing accountants for practicing accountants.

ABACUS was formed in 1989 to facilitate Professional Indemnity Insurance for its 500 Members, and holds an Australian Financial Services Licence No 280616.

ABACUS has an agreement with Hiscock Insurance Brokers Pty Ltd (holders of AFS Licence 2463223) to arrange and handle professional indemnity insurance cover for the Members at a reasonable cost.

All the directors of ABACUS Australia Ltd are Chartered Accountants in Public Practice. We are a not-for-profit company limited by guarantee specializing in PI for accountants in public practice that are members of recognized accounting bodies. We have a claims committee made up of three CAs that can advise you on any PI claims matters
